Partnering With Parents

THE ROLE OF THE PARENT

Regardless of what we do as a church, we believe strongly that our efforts bear lasting fruit only if the parents are fulfilling their God-given role as primary spiritual leaders. Therefore, our first objective remains to partner with parents, equipping them to be the primary spiritual leader and influence in their kid's life. In this regard, we seek out opportunities to counsel parents 1on1 on the unique ways they can lead their specific family at home. We also offer occasional seminars on topics like establishing a spiritual rhythm as a family, and raising up our kids to make God-honoring choices in a morally compromised culture.

THE ROLE OF THE CHURCH

It is our desire that every person is living for Jesus Christ, so we have an intentional plan from birth through graduation, to partner with parents, and place influential adults in the life of each child and student, to maximize the likelihood that this desire becomes a reality. All of this is informed by the view that two combined influences (FAMILY + CHURCH) make a greater impact than those two influences would separately.

That integrated plan plays out in the context of peer LifeGroups as well as through events, parent seminars, serving opportunities, and mission opportunities.
