Grab a Corner

We serve because Christ served.
Jesus said in Matthew 20:28, “the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” As Christ served, so we are to serve (Ephesians 5:1).
We also serve because we are called members of the body of Christ. In 1 Peter 4:10, believers are taught to love one another continually, show hospitality, and use the gifts given by God’s grace, being ever faithful stewards of what God has given. We do this so that in everything God may be glorified (1 Peter 4:11). As we serve, God is glorified and we are humbly used in his work in the church, in our community and among the nations.
There are all kinds of opportunities for both individuals and families to serve. From volunteering with the creative arts team, to partnering with families in one of our family ministry areas, to welcoming guests on Sunday mornings on our hospitality team, there is a place for everyone to grab a corner, that God would be glorified in all that we do (Col. 3:23-24).
