Local Schools

121 Community Church chose to partner with 2 Grapevine schools to work with at-risk students: Timberline Elementary School and Cross Timbers Middle School.  Both of these schools are just a few miles from 121.

Here are several opportunities for involvement as an individual or LifeGroup:

Mentor a student

Mentoring takes only one hour a week during the school day.  If you have a job with flexible hours, this is the perfect opportunity.  Mentors are greatly needed in both schools.  If you are interested in mentoring, please contact Shelby Rhoten with Big Brothers Big Sisters at or 817-277-1148 ext. 257.

Professional Speakers

The Careers Class teacher of Cross Timbers Middle School is looking for professionals to come speak to their classes. Students need to hear what YOU do for a living and the steps you took to get your job.  Believe it or not, they are very interested to learn about your profession!  Contact Kathryn Burkhart at for more information.
