Speaker: Carla McDougal (www.reflectivelifeministries.org) – Carla is the founder and speaker for Reflective Life Ministries located in the Houston, TX area. Her true passion in life is her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It humbles her to realize that His love, mercy, and grace go beyond her understanding. She truly believes that laughter is medicine from the Lord that breaks down walls and removes the masks in our lives. As a result, God has taken her around the world to encourage women to live everyday for Jesus. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Fred, for 25 years. Together they have 3 boys ages 22, 21, 17, and a precious 15 year old daughter. She smiles to think of the experiences God has allowed in her life to teach and remind her that “He is in control.” She looks forward to spending time with us at as we seek the Lord together.
Worship Leader: Amy Nobles (www.amynobles.com) – Amy is the founder and president of Noble Ministries, Inc. and the Local Missions Minister for 121 Community Church. In 1999, some very close friends of Amy's affirmed her gift of leading worship and urged her to start a non-profit worship ministry. After prayer and seeking wise counsel, she did. Since then God has continued to confirm that calling as time and time again Amy has been invited around the world to lead worship. As a result, God has now taken her around the globe, even putting her in risky places to spread the gospel through music. Her music is now distributed in hundreds of countries and she has many stories to tell of God's work in her life and the lives around her.

HAVEN . . . a place of shelter and refuge. That is what this year’s retreat is all about. Our goal is for each lady, young and old, to walk away REFRESHED, RENEWED, and RESTORED, having had a few days free of life’s busyness, all under the umbrella of worship and Godly teaching. Carla will be speaking all weekend about God’s design for relationships and the impact they have not only on our daily lives, but also on our direct relationship with Him.
From the moment you arrive at the hotel, your will know that you are at a different kind of retreat. We will enjoy a weekend together full of unique, engaging activities such as:
General sessions: Held in the Grand Atrium, these will be times of worship through music, prayer, teaching, and other creative elements.
Muster groups: Time will be spent in small groups throughout the weekend, unpacking everything Carla talks about and how those things impact our lives.
Excursions: There will be a wide variety of excursions offered on Saturday afternoon, including: Spa rooms, Aerobics classes, Bunco tournaments, Creativity workshops, Scrapbooking room . . . and more
Paradise Lounge: During all free times we will have a hospitality lounge open where there will be coffee, tea, water & snacks available. It's a place where you can stop by to grab a little something to eat or drink or sit and visit with a friend.
Captain’s Dinner: On Saturday evening we will be treating everyone to a special Captain’s Dinner. The theme will be A Black & White Night. Every lady is encouraged to wear black & white, but to dress as casual or as fancy as she'd like. Where else can you dine at the same table with one lady in yoga pants and another in a formal gown? We will have a boutique available in the lounge Friday night and Saturday morning full of dresses on loan from 121 women for those who would like to dress up but have gotten rid of all their fancy dresses.
