EQUIP Apologetics Seminar | Sunday, May 2nd
How can we have effective conversations with non-believers when we are challenged with difficult questions? How can we take knowledge about apologetics topics and actually have fruitful dialogue instead of just arguing with someone who does not believe?
Our guest speaker for this very practical equipping topic will be Greg Koukl who leads Stand to Reason ministries. He will speak about “tactics” in conversations with non-believers to prepare us for dialogue without arguing, how to share God's truth with gentleness and respect.
This is one of five focused equipping opportunities during 2010 in apologetics. The main idea of ‘apologetics’ is being equipped to defend our faith, being better established in our Christian beliefs and able to persuasively answer honest objections that keep people from faith in Jesus Christ.
In your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.
