Lace up your K-Swiss because this year for Women's Retreat WE'RE RUNNING BACK!!! Kerry Scheer is returning as our speaker and we will have Bethany Dillon leading us in worship.
Kerry will be guiding us through the basics of the spiritual disciplines and what it means to run back home to the life of a disciple. We will get the opportunity to practice a lot of these in some unique ways throughout our time together.

To drive home the idea of running back, our theme this year will take us back to everyone's favorite decade - the 80's. From banana clips and shoulder pads to tie-dye and all things neon, we are going pay tribute to just about everything that made the 80's what they were.

Registration begins Sunday, January 15th and prices go up on February 17th so don't waste any time signing up!

80's PROM DINNER:

For those of you who have attended our retreats in the past, you know that dinner on Saturday is always an event unto itself.  In keeping with that tradition, this year our special dinner will be an 80's prom.  We're challenging everyone to find the most awesome 80's prom dress you can find to wear.  We'll enjoy a great meal together as well as some fun memories like a best-dressed contest, plenty of photo opps, and some jammin' games. As always, it's not necessary to dress up in order to have fun, but if history repeats itself, this is sure to be a night you won't soon forget.

Kerry Scheer

KERRY SCHEER - Speaker

Kerry is a passionate speaker and enjoys teaching women how to know and follow hard after God. She currently lives in Denton, Texas with her husband Mike where they raise their three boys. Mike is currently the Missions Pastor at Denton Bible Church where he works with long term missionaries around the world. Kerry graduated from the University of North Texas with a Masters degree in Counseling. She has counseled in a school setting as well as private practice before retiring to be a full time mom. Although her first calling is wife and mother she enjoys speaking at retreats and conferences. Kerry’s passion and calling has been to minister, equip and encourage women to invest their lives in an intimate relationship with a God that desires to be known.

Bethany DillonBETHANY DILLON - Worship Leader

Well, she'd always been an old soul.  From her recording debut at age 14, Bethany Dillon was one of those rare young singer/songwriters who did not fit the status quo.  Her songs possessed a lyrical depth that belied her age.  Her carriage, sense of composure and way of looking at the world revealed a certain maturity, disarming for one so young.  So it almost seems a given, years later, that Bethany - now married and living in Dallas with her husband, Shane Barnard (Shane & Shane) and her little girl, Lucy - would be officially grown up.  While her roots lay in the contemporary christian music scene, her heart for worship is not bound by production politics.  It's not uncommon for her to travel with her husband to lead God's people in worship all over the country.  So we are blessed on many fronts to have a musician of her caliber as well as worshiper of her depth to join us for this year's retreat.

FAQ's:

What are the cabins like?
There are 2 sides to each cabin and each side has 10 bunk beds and a bathroom with 3 showers, sinks, and toilets. Linens & towels are not provided so you will need to bring those along with your other things.

What are the motel rooms like?
Each room features 2 queen size beds, linens, telephone with voice mail, AM/FM alarm clock radio, cable television, private bath with tub/shower and individually controlled air conditioning and heat.

How will the meals work?
Every meal features a full buffet with multiple entrees as well as salad bar, hot bar, dessert bar and beverage stations. So even those with special dietary needs should be able to have plenty of choices.

Are there scholarships available?
We are currently working on building up the scholarship fund and as money comes in we would love to award it to those who might not otherwise be able to attend the retreat.  While we wait for monies to become available, we will be building a waiting list.  Email erica.boutwell@121cc.com for more information or to give funds to go toward scholarships.
