A continuation of the series Define the Culture. We look at love, encouragement and community in the life of a believer.
Romans 12:1-2
The way we see it we have a choice we can either be defined by the world and allow it to squeeze us into its mold OR we can define the culture by being transformed by Christ within us. Will we continue to stand with out brothers and sisters all over the world who in Christ are defined the cultures in which they live. The Question is, What will we do? Will we it allow an increasing anti-God culture to destroy our marriages, families, schools and nation? Or will we, motivated by the Love of Christ in us, be the ones to define the culture empowered by Him so that we have a culture that is living for Him.
This Easter we will discover the effect of the resurrection on Peter. A man who previously made bold claims only to end up denying Christ, became a man who preached the Gospel to thousands, helped establish God's church and was ultimately killed for his unwavering faith in Christ. Through Peter's restoration, we will see the reality of the "resurrection effect" on our own lives as God does more in and through us than we could ever ask for or imagine.
in this season of advent, anticipating and celebrating the arrival of Jesus, there are at least 5 gifts that flow from knowing Him. 5 gifts we have received that we can in turn give. peace through the gracious release of others, love by honoring God's design for marriage, giving hope to the most vulnerable of children, joy through a sacred view of work, and refreshment in being centered on Christ!! Enjoy what has been given and give it away generously.
Generosity flows from those who hold on loosely!! This series will explore what it means to be a lavish and radical giver, and the joy that comes deep within for those who are willing to trust what Christ says are the right investments. Are you willing to take a fresh look at Christ's perspective and then dive in His way?
