Providing opportunities to live on mission (Matthew 28:18-20)

INDIA

Today we will hear from Ramesh Landge who leads COI (Cooperative Outreach of India), a key ministry partnership in India. His wife Gloria works for World Vision and is involved with COI as well. Please make them feel incredibly welcome as we try to show half the hospitality that they show us in India!

Also, today there is a team from 121 serving in India - please pray for them! You can download a prayer guide if you would like to pray daily and specifically.

Do you want to get more involved in our church's partnership in India?  If you would like to receive regular prayer updates, hear about local and global opportunities to reach Indians with the gospel, or help your LifeGroup get involved in an ongoing way, email Dustin Sanders at .

NEW MISSION STAFF

Please welcome Amy Nobles to the staff of 121 as our Local Mission Minister! Amy will be helping LifeGroups and the church overall connect to opportunities to live on mission in the DFW area. She will be equipping in personal evangelism along with other equipping, and helping to integrate Mission in each ministry of the church. She has been leading worship in local church and itinerant ministry and has been involved in mission efforts to lead people to live for Jesus Christ locally and globally. We are excited she is on board! You can contact Amy at .

KIDS' BEACH CLUB

Kids' Beach Club will begin at Carroll Elementary and Grapevine Elementary on Wednesday, October 8th!  There are several opportunities to serve in this Christ-centered ministry on the elementary school campuses. You can help with weekly preparation, be part of the after-school program, help with administrative needs, or connect the children's families to 121.

If would like to get involved in this fun after-school ministry, contact Sundae Foster at .

NEW REFUGEE FAMILIES

Volunteers are needed to adopt refugee families living in Lewisville, Dallas, and Fort Worth.  Please consider adopting a family that is new to the DFW area. You can minister to one of these families as a LifeGroup, family or even by yourself.

There is also an immediate need for a car that is in good condition for caseworkers to transport refugees. If you donate a car, a tax receipt will be provided for your donation. If you are interested in these opportunities, contact Lisa Olsen at or 817-789-8794.

LA COMUNIDAD / Service Opportunities

This is a great opportunity to serve and reach those who live just down the street from 121 as a part of La Comunidad ("The Community"), a ministry to the residents at the Courtyards Apartments on Mustang Drive.  Current opportunities include ESL helpers (no foreign language knowledge necessary) to work with adults and youth volunteers to work with middle and high school age kids.

Contact Tara Sanchez at lacomunidad@121cc.com for more information.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Now is the best time of the year to make a connection with an international student, whether as a LifeGroup, a family, or a 1-on-1 friendship. These students come from all over the world, especially India and Taiwan, and they would love to get to know an American friend.

Volunteers are needed to deliver simple household items to international students who have just moved into campus housing at UT-Arlington. This is a great opportunity to establish a relationship before the busyness of school makes them less open to social connections.

For more information on how you can get involved, contact Donna Gleason at .
