121 Mission Philosophy & Focus

THE MISSION OF GOD

The Mission of God from now until the end of time is to reveal Himself to all the peoples of the earth, bringing them to Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. The Mission began in Genesis 12:1-3, was clearly defined in Matthew 28:19-20, and will culminate in the picture of Revelation 7:9-10. God will be glorified among every people on earth!

PHILOSOPHY & FOCUS 

Partnering in Ministry is a core value of 121 Community Church. We recognize that God has equipped us for certain areas of ministry and He has equipped others for different areas of ministry. Therefore 121 will never be a "lone ranger"; rather, we will seek to serve and support partner ministries and missionaries so that maximum impact can be made for the glory of Christ wherever we are involved. In general, there are a few key priorities and values that drive what we do and how we do it: 

• CHILDREN AT RISK

121 will prioritize partnerships with churches, organizations, and missionaries seeking to meet the physical and spiritual needs of orphaned children, street kids, and children in other crisis situations. We are currently partnered with Spoken For and Buckner Orphan Care International.

• UNREACHED PEOPLES

There are entire groups of people (ethnic, linguistic, cultural) in our world who have never had an opportunity to hear the good news about Jesus Christ. Many of these people groups are located in northern India, which is a major area of focus for 121 for this reason. • LOCAL CHURCHES

We desire to help plant, strengthen, and multiply local churches throughout the world. As much as possible, all ministries will be tied to and driven by local churches. Ultimately, we desire for local churches to take the lead in any ministry in which 121 is involved anywhere in the world, just as 121 has the responsibility to do in the DFW area.

• NATIONAL LEADERSHIP

Supporting, training, and partnering in appropriate ways with national leaders is a key to reaching all peoples and establishing healthy local churches around the world. 121 seeks to work alongside effective national leaders in our partner areas.
