For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Isn’t it interesting how mysterious life is?
In the matter of a few seconds, we could receive good or bad news that instantly turns our world upside down. One phone call or one text, and boom…life may never be the same.
When was the last time you got some really exciting news…like crazy, life-changing, amazing news that would forever change your circumstances?
You likely could not wait to pass it along. You may have been tweeting, texting, and posting just as fast as your fingers would type. You couldn’t wait to call and tell those closest to you—or maybe even complete strangers. We are naturally excited to share about good news.
Paul didn’t have the social media resources we have today, but that didn’t stop Him. He was thrilled to proclaim the extraordinary message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts in Him. It’s nearly impossible not to be enthusiastic about good news…and Paul had the best news of all! People daily need to be reminded of God’s love.
Every conversation we have is a chance to talk about God’s goodness. How readily do you share this extraordinary news?
• How does the power of the gospel make you a better witness? What power is it that we rely on when sharing with others?
• What reservations do you have, if any, about telling people about Jesus? How can reliance on the Holy Spirit help face these challenges?
• Pray for boldness to continually proclaim the gospel.
