Mission Billboard Large

We have several ways to serve this summer in our local community - by yourself or with a group!

Here's all the details you need to know:

Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is a service provided by the Grapevine Police Department Community Outreach Center. The purpose is to combat summer reading loss in at-risk communities.

The program will begin on June 18th and run until August 6th every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 PM to 1 PM. Lunch will be provided for the kids participating in the program, so bring yours and plan on eating over a good book!

Feed Our Kids

This summer, 121 is participating in the Feed Our Kids program, coordinated through Grapevine Grace.

The Feed Our Kids program offers lunches to children in GCISD during the summer months and helps to ‘bridge the gap’ for students who normally receive free or reduced lunch during the school year.

121 is a host site for FoK and the lunches will be served on the east side of our building during the week of July 22-July 26. We need LifeGroups and families to help provide and pass out lunches during this week.

Grace Friday Food Giveaway

In addition to Feed Our Kids, GRACE will be giving fresh produce away every Friday at various sites throughout the summer. This is an amazing program.

The intention of GRACE Grocery Giveaway is to alleviate hunger over the weekend by offering fresh fruits and vegetables to families who often have limited access to them.

Mustang Market

Every Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30AM (or until sold out) at the Grapevine Community Outreach Center, the Mustang Market team sells fresh produce to the residents on Mustang Drive for a fair price. This is a great opportunity to engage people in conversation over coffee and donuts. Bring your kids, as there is a playground nearby!

29Fifty Ministry

Life groups will participate in a monthly event to build community throughout the 2950 apartment complex.

This will allow 121ers to build relationships within the community, walk alongside by supporting the apartment staff and facilitating residents with connecting to one another.

Members are needed to support & free up the lead life group who will plan and host each event. Having the lead life group be the constant/familiar face, allows them to build deeper relationships.
