REDEEMING RAMADAN: An Invitation to Fast and Feast
Join three 121 missionaries who serve in the Middle East for a special evening to eat together, learn about the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, and pray for God to do great things among Muslims!
Millions of Muslims celebrate Ramadan by breaking their daily fast each evening with an Iftar meal. (Iftar simply means “break fast.”) We invite you to fast during the day, if you are able, and join us for a feast and experience the cultural traditions.
Our missionaries will guide us through this time – foreign to us but very familiar to them! – and will lead us into how to better love and pray for Muslims near and far.
What are we going to do?
We'll meet our missionaries, learn about the Middle East, have a delicious meal, understand more about the religion and culture, and participate in a structured, guided time of prayer through various challenges and opportunities in this part of the world.
Is this event appropriate for children?
This event is primarily geared to adults, but children (kinder and up) are welcome to join their parents. The content presented by our missionaries will be family friendly. Childcare is available for birth through pre-K.
Is there a cost?
This event is being hosted free of charge to allow you to experience some cultural traditions and understand a little more about the life of our missionaries. Please come, learn, pray, and enjoy!
Can you tell me more about the "delicious" meal?
Middle Eastern food has something for everyone - salads, grilled meats, fresh bread, vegetables.
Is there anything else I should be nervous about?
Nope! This will be a fun and informative night - please join us!
